THE CHURCH WE SEE
We see a church that is shining the light of Christ in Taipei, across Taiwan, and to the ends of the earth. We see a church that has prayer at its core and has powerful worship services where believers and unbelievers alike encounter the presence and power of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We see the Holy Spirit active in our midst as the lost are found, as broken hearts are healed, as broken families are restored, and broken bodies are healed. We see a church fully devoted to Christ full of courageous faith believing nothing is impossible with God.
We see a church where every family member is rooted and grounded in the love of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve and minister. We see a church deeply committed to loving each other, growing together and meeting together regularly in our homes and other spaces. We see a church where every member is confident and passionate in telling others about Jesus. We see a church family constantly making room at the table for new family members. We see a church that cares deeply for Taipei and for the isolated, marginalized, poor, and oppressed. We see a church that rejoices to see the kingdom of God expand through evangelism, mercy ministry, and justice.
We see a church that invests heavily in the next generation and pours passion and resources into discipling children and youth. We see a church that is committed to raising up leaders who will have great impact and influence in all spheres of society. We see a dynamic church that is overflowing with creative expression in media, music, and the arts in order to give God glory and proclaim the Gospel in new and increasingly more glorious ways. We see a church that is radically generous in helping others and sharing resources with other churches and ministries to see Gospel Renewal come to cities across this nation and the earth.
We see a multicultural church of extraordinary love, overflowing with joy and gratitude for the Gospel, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ; and bringing glory to God as it impacts Taipei, Taiwan, and the world.

TIC is a multicultural, multigenerational, English speaking Church, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
We proclaim the good news in word and actions and bring glory to God in all we do.
It is our mission to help each person to identify their spiritual gifts, equip them to use their gifts, and enable them to use their gifts by ensuring loving leadership and providing well organized ministries in which to ​serve​​.

It is our mission to help spread the Gospel of Jesus beyond our own cultural boundaries. We develop, support, send, and pray for missionaries.

BIBLE BASED
We want everything we do to be based on His word. It’s our foundation, rock, life manual and guide.

VALUING DIVERSITY
We love the fact that we represent many nations, cultures and ages. We will ensure that this is something we always protect, nurture, and encourage at TIC. In our diversity we have 1 thing in common, we are united in Christ.
Colossians 3:11 “Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.”

EXPECTING TRANSFORMATION
Come as you are but don’t stay as you came. There must be growth in your life.
We welcome people who are seekers, broken, hurt, new believers, mature believers. Whatever stage in the Christian spectrum you arrived at, we will do everything possible to encourage you and enable you to move forward a few steps, so you can grow more and more into Jesus’ image.
Romans 12:2 – Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

BUILDING COMMUNITY
​
We place a high value on not only meeting on a Sunday but getting connected in smaller groups (either by serving together or in a bible study group). Small groups are the place where we connect and grow spiritually together. It's where we laugh and sometimes cry together. When someone is having a ‘low' or ‘high' moment, facing stress, under pressure at work, celebrating a promotion or birth, we walk through our time here in Taiwan together.
Acts 5:42 And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus.

PRACTICING SERVANTHOOD
​
Serving is something we encourage everyone to do here at TIC. God has given us different gifts and put us in a body where we all have different roles. Some of us are toes (they balance the body), some are hands (they do a lot), some are ears (they hear) etc.
1 “Peter 4:10-11 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord."
