OUR MISSION
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus who walk in the freedom that comes from being rooted and grounded in the love of Christ, love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, love their neighbors as themselves, and share the Gospel with love and boldness.

It is our mission to give God greater and greater glory through our corporate worship and to help each person give their whole self more fully and freely as an act of joyful worship to God, in singing, serving, giving, and gratitude.
Psalm 95:1-3, Romans 12:1-2, Philippians 4:18, Hebrews 13:15, Psalm 69:30, Psalm 100:4

OUR VALUES
GOSPEL-CENTERED
The Gospel is central to every program, every ministry, every group, and everything else we do. The Gospel is central to our relationships with each other, to our families, and to our daily lives. We seek to contextualize the Gospel to make it clear, and actively apply it to our lives.
SCRIPTURE
We embrace the authority of the Bible as the written word of God for all of life. It is our basis for understanding and relating to God. It is at the foundation of what we teach and proclaim.
SPIRIT EMPOWERMENT
The Holy Spirit gives us the power to be changed and to serve God. We actively seek His gifts, we pray to be filled, and we expect His power to be at work in our worship services, our small groups, and our ministries. We acknowledge that without the power of the Holy Spirit we are unable to be the church that God created us to be.
PRAYER
Prayer is at the core of what we do at TIC and we seek for it to permeate our services, our groups, and our ministries. We pray for God’s kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as in heaven, and we pray for each other for grace, transformation, comfort, healing, deliverance, and breakthrough.
TRANSFORMATION
We seek and expect that the Gospel will transform the lives of every person who responds to Jesus. We seek to see hearts transformed, marriages transformed, families transformed and our community transformed. We equip the members of TIC to become agents of transformation in their families, workplaces, and neighborhoods. We desire to see revival come to our city and we cooperate with other churches for city transformation to take place. We pray for the transformation of Taipei, Taiwan, and the world.

WE ARE FAMILY - WELCOME HOME
We Are a Family - Welcome Home Our church is a home where we belong in Christ, a home where we are loved in Christ, and a home where we encounter God in Christ. We are children in God’s home and we are expecting the family to expand. We welcome each person who comes home to the family of God.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
We are committed to identifying, training, and raising up leaders in the church and sending leaders out on mission for Christ. We seek to empower all the believers to be leaders in their spheres of influence, from their family to their workplace.
CREATIVITY & INNOVATION
We embrace creative expression in worship and in proclaiming the Gospel through media, music, dance, and the arts. We create structure, space, and opportunity for creatives to use their gifts to glorify God. We seek creative solutions to problems and innovative ministry programs.
EXCELLENCE
We do not pursue perfection, but we do not settle for giving God a mediocre effort. We do seek to give God our ever increasing best. We do extend grace and we see excellence as continuous growth. We believe God deserves and is most glorified by the best we have to give through our talent, time, ability, and resources.

WE SHOW HONOR & RESPECT TO EACH OTHER
We encourage one another, actively building each other up. We look for ways to affirm and recognize faithful service through our speech and actions. We do not dishonor each other through gossip or slander.
WE EMBRACE ACCOUNTABILITY
We set clear expectations for service, ministries, and groups. We make clear commitments. We are willing to be held accountable and to hold each other accountable for keeping our commitments and in walking in obedience to Christ.
WE WORK THROUGH CONFLICT
We understand that conflict through differing opinions, misunderstanding, or mistakes is a normal part of human relationships and is not uncommon in a multicultural church. We are committed to working through conflict in the following ways:
by making positive assumptions.
When we are in conflict with another member in the church, we are committed to making positive assumptions about their motivations and intentions and we assume the best possible explanation until we have a clarifying conversation.
by seeking understanding.
We speak directly to the other party, and we do not gossip about the person to uninvolved parties. We seek to understand how our actions and words have impacted others. We seek to understand opposing views, and alternative solutions.
by pursuing reconciliation.
We go out of our way to be peacemakers. We encourage each other to take steps to be reconciled. We are proactive when communication breaks down or when there is misunderstanding. We help restore broken friendships. We take steps to reconcile members who are in conflict.
by understanding unanimity is not required to move forward.
We understand that sometimes we will be unable to reach agreement and unanimous decision. We will seek to make decisions and choose the best course in accordance with Scripture and in alignment with our mission, vision, and values. We will continue to move forward with grace, gentleness, and love.
