The Stephen Ministry is commissioned by the entire church to extend care. Stephen Ministry is an opportunity for you and those you care about to be ministered to one on one by caring individuals. Stephen Ministers are persons who provide distinctively Christian care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances. It is available for anyone in our community. Perhaps there have been times in your life when you were experiencing periods of stress, loneliness or self-doubt. You wished at that time you could have had a caring friend who would come alongside you to listen and encourage. Stephen Ministers exist to help and serve your needs when you need someone to be there for you! Stephen Ministers Provide Four Types of Care

• Crisis Care for people who may be dealing with hospitalization, terminal illness, the death of a loved one, unemployment, divorce, severe financial setback, natural disaster or the aftermath of a fire.
• Preventative Care to help anticipate and prepare for potentially challenging upcoming events, such as receiving a promotion, approaching retirement, marriage, children going to college or the military, or becoming a first time parent.
• Supportive Care for a caregiver as he/she faces the challenges of caring for a loved one. These may include dealing with the realities of a dying spouse, deciding to place elderly parent(s) in a long-term care facility, having a special-needs child, etc.
• Follow-up Care as people commonly need care in recovering from a major life crisis and the related aftershocks.
